Details

With its reducing agent of ammonia, KC-201 catalyst is mainly used for removing NOx from tail gas of nitric acid-producing process by converting NOx to N2 and H2O. It has a number of characteristics, such as high working efficiency, small amount of ammonia cost, high stability and long working life.

Introduction
Hydrogen reduction is not required before using the catalyst. After starting operation, the pressure is adjusted depending on the tail gas system. When the system achieves stable, the ammonia amount can be adjusted according to the NO2 content in order to control the NOx/ NH3 ratio to a range from 0.95 to 1.05.
The operating temperature is required between 240°C and 420°C to stop thermal decomposition of NH3 as it will produce secondary pollution.
